About the position

The Interior Designer for Cabinet Design and Sales at Modern Builders Supply is responsible for delivering unique design solutions for clients, managing projects from concept to completion. This role involves understanding client needs, creating design plans, and maintaining strong relationships with customers while keeping abreast of market trends and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Qualify clients based on their wants, needs, desires, and available investment dollars.
• Discuss and identify clients' design styles.
• Create design solutions, plans, quotes, and purchase orders.
• Accurately check designs and orders.
• Discuss product details and expectations with clients.
• Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential new products and services.
• Keep abreast of product knowledge, market conditions, and competitive activities through research and consulting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cabinet design.
• Minimum 5 years of customer service and sales experience.
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and overall mission and vision.
• Knowledge of sales, construction, and design.
• Knowledge of interior products and cabinetry construction.
• Proficiency in computer programs such as 20/20 Design, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in interior design solutions for homeowners and contractors.
• Ability to read blueprints and field measure.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective client qualification.
• Efficient problem-solving and time management skills.
