About the position

The Interior Designer - Construction Manager will assist in the design and construction processes for the Department of Veterans Affairs campuses in the Salt Lake area. This role involves working on various facilities, including commercial buildings, office and shop buildings, utility installations, and patient care facilities. The position requires collaboration with construction/project managers and other designers on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of design and construction processes for VA campuses.
• Collaborate with construction/project managers and other designers on-site.
• Provide guidance and support to construction contractors.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications and project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or NCIDQ certification.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial design experience.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of construction contracting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and RSMeans.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with commercial building construction.
• Familiarity with utility installation and patient care facilities.
