About the position

The Interior Designer at Sanford Health is responsible for designing, planning, and leading refurbishment projects within the healthcare environment. This role involves creating construction drawings, selecting finishes, managing project schedules, and tracking costs. The designer will utilize various software tools to produce designs and documentation, ensuring that all projects align with Sanford's standards and current trends in interior design.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and lead refurbishment projects including furnishings and construction drawings.
  • Assist with finish selection and all design needs for major remodel projects.
  • Operate CAD equipment to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms, and records.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit software for space planning and furniture design.
  • Research interior finishes, including pricing and availability, to create finish standards.
  • Create and manage finish selections for projects.
  • Compile documentation for plan and finish material presentations, including graphic representations and physical material boards.
  • Manage and maintain material library updates.
  • Work with vendor representatives to schedule visits and share new products with the team.
  • Collaborate with leadership on outsourced projects to ensure standards are utilized.
  • Meet with clients to program project requirements and take accurate as-built measurements.
  • Present design concepts and take detailed notes to address customer requests.
  • Create project budgets and maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Manage coordination and logistics of product deliveries and installation.
  • Provide follow-up support with customers and develop effective relationships.
  • Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural interior designs, visiting job sites as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Knowledge of current versions of Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Sketchup preferred.
  • Healthcare design experience preferred.
  • National Council for Interior Design Qualification Certified (NCIDQ) preferred.
