About the position

The Interior Designer/Decorator at Bob Mills Furniture is responsible for creating visually appealing merchandise displays and enhancing the shopping experience for customers. This full-time role emphasizes creativity, initiative, and teamwork, ensuring that the store environment is both inviting and functional. The position requires collaboration with floor technicians and participation in special events, all aimed at maximizing customer satisfaction and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Creating merchandise displays throughout the store or in defined areas in a timely manner.
• Creating an enjoyable, visually pleasing, and easy shopping experience for customers to maximize revenue and satisfaction.
• Assisting with the setup for special in-store events.
• Directing the work of Floor Technicians to accomplish furniture moves on the showroom floor.
• Using taste, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in a related area preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in interior design or a related field required.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within merchandise visual display required.
• A high degree of creativity and initiative is required.
• Design certifications are preferred.
• A portfolio of personal creations is ideal.

Nice-to-haves
