About the position

The Interior Designer/Design Consultant at Robb & Stucky Furniture Interiors is responsible for creating visually appealing and functional interior designs while building a strong client base. This role involves working directly with customers in showrooms, preparing design presentations, and managing sales transactions. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of design principles, and a professional sales background.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with customers in retail showrooms.
• Prepare design presentations using visual media such as fabric, finishes, photos, and floor plans.
• Provide accurate measurements to the CAD Team for presentations.
• Handle sales functions efficiently, including processing transactions and returns.
• Establish and maintain good interpersonal relations with clients.
• Project a positive company image to the public.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or 2 to 4 years of related experience or training.
• Experience in high-end furniture sales.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and administrative skills.
• Familiarity with CAD and moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid Driver License with a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• ASID certification preferred.
• Experience in customer service and sales in the furniture industry.
