Responsibilities

  • Confer with client to determine factors affecting planning interior environments, such as budget, design preferences, and purpose and function.
  • Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings or equipment, and color coordination.
  • Estimate requirements and costs, and present design to client for approval.
  • Select or design, and purchase furnishings, art works, and accessories.
  • Render design ideas in form of paste-ups or drawings.

Requirements

  • Some college preferred, completed college coursework in interior design, arts, graphics, etc. or related experience.
  • Proven success in sales and interior design.
  • In-home design service and design presentation ability is preferable.
  • 2+ years of experience in Interior Design highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative design ability, flair for color, knowledge of fashion furniture trends and styles.
  • Demonstrated ability in room design and color coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and create professional ¼" scale space plans.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and provide own transportation to and from customer's homes.
