About the position

The Interior Designer for Healthcare at SmithGroup will be responsible for managing projects, assisting in the production of construction documents, and ensuring cohesive design solutions for healthcare environments. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including manufacturers and clients, to deliver innovative and resilient design solutions that meet project deadlines and budget constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage projects and participate in job production and construction administration efforts.
  • Assist in preparing, coordinating, and completing construction document packages.
  • Consult with manufacturers, research, and evaluate FF&E materials and products.
  • Serve as a resource on interior design issues to others in the office and assist in the design work of others.
  • Participate in presentations and visioning sessions to develop programs for clients.
  • Be responsible for meeting project deadlines and budget constraints.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience with healthcare projects of varying types and complexity.
  • LEED AP preferred; Architectural or Interior Design registration preferred.
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD with 3-D modeling capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform work involving independent judgment and to act as project coordinator and leader.
  • Ability to produce and coordinate a complete set of construction documents for permitting and bidding on projects.
