HBG Design is seeking a skilled Interior Designer to contribute to the design and delivery of the firm's high-profile hospitality and entertainment projects. The position will help lead a design team in the execution of interior designs and ensure that all results meet the established design goals for each project. The interior design leadership team actively drives the direction of the entire 30-member interior design group, guiding creative and technical project approaches, and helping each interior designer identify a unique career path within the firm. In this role, the Interior Designer will regularly monitor and track internal deadlines set by the Senior Interior Designer or Project Manager to ensure timely project delivery, develop designs with multiple options, and communicate the differences effectively. The position requires familiarity with products and vendors, advanced knowledge of materials, and the ability to research new product ideas while working within budget limits. Responsibilities

  • Regularly monitors and tracks internal deadlines set by the Senior Interior Designer or Project Manager to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Develop designs with multiple options and differentiations and possess the ability to communicate the differences.
  • Work cooperatively with Project Managers, Senior Interior Designers, and other Interior Designers.
  • Initiate design concepts based on program requirements.
  • Bring familiarity of products and vendors, and advanced knowledge of materials.
  • Research new product ideas and propose FF&E and sustainable selections while working within budget limits.
  • Prepare specifications and presentation boards.
  • Participate in industry-specific organizations and community/civic events on behalf of the firm, seeking opportunities to expand personal network and gain additional knowledge through mentorship opportunities.

Requirements

  • Registered Interior Designer or in the process of pursuing licensure.
  • Minimum 3 years practical experience in interior design, preferably in hospitality.
  • Bachelor's degree from Interior Design/Interior Architecture program.
  • Exhibit intermediate knowledge of construction methods, costs, and how it relates to design and FF&E costs.
  • Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and graphic skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, and SketchUp software programs is a must.
