About the position

As an Interior Designer at LEO A DALY, you will engage in programming and conceptual design tasks while preparing contract documents under the guidance of senior interior designers. This role supports architectural and interiors projects, including new construction, tenant improvements, and FF&E work, contributing to the creation of inspiring and sustainable environments.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and specifies project-appropriate interior design requirements
  • Assists in selection and documentation of FF&E
  • Performs Revit modeling and detailing
  • Conducts site investigations and observations
  • Prepares narratives, design presentations, boards, drawing and specification documents
  • Performs cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates
  • Maintains knowledge of current industry trends on space, function, lighting, finishes, furniture and equipment
  • Attends client and internal meetings
  • Assists with construction contract administration
  • Assists with marketing/business development activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited University
  • 0 to 3 years' experience in interior design on a wide variety of projects in the A/E industry
  • Proficiency with computer software including Revit, Sketch-Up, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant in a multi-discipline team
