About the position

K. Hovnanian is seeking an experienced interior designer to join our in-house design studio. This role involves collaborating on the creation and preparation of interior designs and virtual/3D models for residential structures. The designer will focus on evolving the interior design Looks and developing new residential products for the future. Projects will span from research and pre-design through execution in our communities, as well as assisting with model home directives, sales tools, and marketing strategies. This position is part of a small team of design enthusiasts working to redefine the American home experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the creation and preparation of interior designs and virtual/3D models of residential structures.
• Produce design documentation and presentations.
• Evolve the interior design Looks while developing new residential products.
• Assist on model home directives, sales tools, and marketing strategies.
• Engage with multiple teams across corporate and field operations to foster collaboration.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in interior design.
• Strong eye for design and aesthetics.
• Ability to create connective tissue and organic ways of working across teams.
• Curiosity, collaboration, and compassion in team dynamics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in residential design for a national home builder.
• Familiarity with marketing strategies related to interior design.
