About the position

LEO A DALY is seeking a skilled Interior Designer to join their collaborative design culture. The role focuses on programming, space planning, and the design of interiors, including finishes and furniture selection. The designer will work within a multidisciplinary team to create innovative and sustainable design solutions that enhance the human experience. This position requires a strong commitment to quality and adherence to project schedules and budgets, along with occasional travel for site investigations and client meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Programming, space planning, and design of spaces and finishes.
  • FF&E selection and documentation.
  • Editing specifications and producing deliverable drawing sets for finish plans, interior elevations, room finish schedules, furniture plans, and interior details.
  • Performing Revit modeling and detailing.
  • Conducting cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates.
  • Conducting site investigations and observations.
  • Preparing narratives, design presentations, boards, drawing, and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality.
  • Performing construction administration.
  • Assisting with marketing/business development activities.
  • Occasional travel for project-related activities such as existing building assessments, client meetings, or construction job site observations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a 4-year accredited program in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience after obtaining Bachelor's or Master's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • NCIDQ certified preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience with A/E firms is a plus.
  • Proficiency with computer software including AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-Up, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
  • Community involvement and participation in IIDA or affiliated Interior Design preferred but not required.
