About the position

The Interior Designer III - Corporate Interiors role involves advanced interior design responsibilities, focusing on project complexity and adherence to firm standards. The designer will contribute to the success of the team by developing design concepts, executing contract documents, and ensuring sustainability goals are met. This position requires a proactive approach to project management, including ownership of project scope, budgets, and deliverables, while also supporting the growth of others in the team.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of project complexity to contribute to team success.
  • Exhibits understanding and development of interior design concepts and integration with architectural design.
  • Executes contract documents including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, and furniture layouts.
  • Exercises critical judgement in creating materials and models for client presentations.
  • Develops graphic communication skills to illustrate design concepts.
  • Influences design elements such as spatial layout, color, light, texture, and scale.
  • Researches manufacturers and selects materials ensuring sustainability goals are maintained.
  • Begins to take ownership of project scope, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Provides programming and space planning analysis as well as area calculations.
  • Implements a creative approach to complete tasks within schedule and budget.
  • Reviews work for accuracy and compliance with Project Delivery Manual.
  • Supports the growth of others in the team.
  • Participates in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
  • Maintains open communication within the team and with the team leader.
  • Coordinates effectively in meetings with clients, partners, and consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline required.
  • Professional Accreditation in Living Design (e.g., LEED AP, WELL AP) preferred.
  • Preparing for NCIDQ certification is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of 2D/3D production software and Revit.
  • Proficiency in conceptual modeling tools such as Rhino and Grasshopper.
  • Experience with visualization tools like Enscape and VRay.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with environmental analysis software such as Ladybug and Climate Studio.
  • Basic knowledge in programming, planning, and site analysis.
