About the position

Our client is a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, interior design, and planning firm with a strong presence across the United States. They are seeking experienced and ambitious Interior Designer III to join their healthcare practice group in the Philadelphia office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead interior design efforts on both large and small-scale healthcare projects, contributing to innovative design solutions that meet client needs and reflect the firm's dedication to quality and service excellence. As an Interior Designer III, you will lead the interior design process for healthcare projects, ensuring that concepts align with the client's functional, aesthetic, and spatial requirements. You will create and develop conceptual designs, detailing interior architectural elements, and selecting finish materials and furnishings. Additionally, you will guide and mentor less experienced designers in executing these tasks. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with project managers, architectural designers, and other disciplines to ensure cohesive design execution. You will coordinate design work to produce drawings and construction documents that align with the firm's standards. Your responsibilities will also include developing and implementing code-compliant designs, ensuring adherence to all relevant safety and regulatory standards. You will prepare and present design proposals, including 3D renderings and design reports, leading client presentations and in-house design reviews to showcase the project's vision and development. Furthermore, you will collaborate with architectural lead designers to enhance design intent during the detailing and construction document phases, overseeing the creation of interior architectural and millwork details and project specifications. In addition to design responsibilities, you will participate in construction administration tasks, including submittal reviews, site visits, and punch list preparation. Providing design guidance during the construction phase to ensure fidelity to the original design concept will be crucial. You will also supervise and mentor junior interior designers, providing guidance in project execution and professional development. Lastly, you will assist in creating design documents and presentation materials for marketing initiatives, prepare fee proposals, and participate in project interviews to secure new work.
