About the position

The Interior Designer III position at Synerfac Technical Staffing is a senior-level role within a nationally recognized architecture and design firm, focusing on healthcare projects. This role involves leading the interior design process, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring that design concepts meet client needs while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative design solutions and collaborate with various disciplines to deliver high-quality projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the interior design process for healthcare projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Create and develop conceptual designs, detailing architectural elements, and selecting materials and furnishings.
  • Guide and mentor less experienced designers in executing design tasks.
  • Collaborate with project managers and architectural designers for cohesive design execution.
  • Coordinate design work to produce drawings and construction documents.
  • Develop and implement code-compliant designs, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Prepare and present design proposals, including 3D renderings and reports.
  • Lead client presentations and in-house design reviews.
  • Oversee the creation of interior architectural and millwork details and project specifications.
  • Participate in construction administration tasks, including site visits and punch list preparation.
  • Provide design guidance during the construction phase to ensure fidelity to the original design concept.
  • Supervise and mentor junior interior designers in project execution.
  • Assist in creating design documents and presentation materials for marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare fee proposals and participate in project interviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in interior design, particularly in healthcare or commercial projects.
  • NCIDQ certification or equivalent architectural certification is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling software (SketchUp or Rhino).
  • Strong conceptual design skills and understanding of interior architecture and detailing.
  • Experience in client-facing design visioning sessions and presentations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and ensure design excellence.
