About the position

The Interior Designer III position at our Philadelphia studio is designed for a passionate and innovative individual with 5-8 years of interior design experience. This role focuses on creating design solutions that align with clients' organizational goals, emphasizing collaboration with a talented design team and a commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, select, and apply advanced design and technical methods for project assignments.
  • Generate and communicate creative ideas using a compelling design vocabulary for effective space planning and design solutions.
  • Understand the architectural design process and integrate interior design concepts, leading the development of design element components.
  • Develop and produce construction documents and detail sketches, executing red-marked revisions.
  • Provide programming and space planning analysis and area calculations.
  • Work independently and alongside the team to meet project constraints of budget and schedule.
  • Develop, prepare, and coordinate presentation materials.
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, and vendor assignments.
  • Collaborate with and mentor junior staff.
  • Utilize technical skills in Revit and other design application software.

Requirements

  • A professional degree in Interior Design or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience, with a focus on Workplace Interiors.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software.
  • Experience with REVIT is required, including drawing setup, plan development, and advanced modeling.
  • Experience in all phases and aspects of a Workplace Interiors project.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong graphic communication skills, including advanced hand sketching/creative ideation.
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn.
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic.
  • LEED AP or within 6 months of hire.
  • Licensure or interest in completing NCIDQ exams.
