Havenly is seeking experienced Interior Designers to join our team in Washington, D.C. This in-person position allows designers to collaborate with clients locally, providing modern and custom design services. As a designer on the Havenly platform, you will have access to our technology and support services, enabling you to focus on delivering exceptional client experiences and creating beautiful designs that transform homes. Your role will involve working closely with residential clients in the Washington D.C. area through both virtual and in-home meetings to understand their design preferences, needs, and budget. You will lead the design process, which includes developing mood boards, design concepts, floor plans, and 3D renderings. Additionally, you will source furniture and decor through Havenly's platform, allowing clients to check out with all vendor partners in one cart. Building strong client relationships is essential, as this will drive repeat and referral business, contributing to your success as a designer. To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Interior Design from an accredited program or university, along with at least 3 years of experience working as an interior designer with your own clients, both in-person and virtually. You must possess an industry-professional presence, engaging clients with a confident, knowledgeable, and clear communication style. Being tech-savvy is crucial, as you will need to use online technologies to create concept boards, 3D renderings, floor plans, and presentations. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Canva is required, as you will be layering images and utilizing various functionalities. A passion for design, a small business mindset, and a high level of product knowledge across various vendors and categories are also important for sourcing the best furnishings and decor for your clients. Reliable transportation to client meetings and a personal computer with video conferencing capabilities are necessary to perform your duties effectively. This freelance contract role offers a combination of pay per project, commission, and bonuses, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
