About the position

Multistudio Inc. is seeking a full-time Interior Designer / Interior Architect for their Kansas City office, focusing on workplace projects. The role involves developing and executing design solutions under leadership guidance, working through all project phases from client programming to construction administration. The designer will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and design specifications are adhered to, while also contributing to the advancement of the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute design solutions for workplace projects.
• Render design ideas in models, drawings, and illustrations for client presentations.
• Work through all phases of a project including programming, conceptual design, construction drawings, and administration.
• Coordinate designs with consultants, furniture dealers, product representatives, and building officials.
• Manage client expectations and ensure design intent is accurately interpreted in project documents.
• Contribute to the growth of the workplace market sector within the Studio.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in interior design or interior architecture.
• Proficiency in Revit and rendering software.
• Understanding of the construction process, materials, and systems integration.
• Ability to assemble a construction document set for interior projects and detail components.
• Familiarity with Google Sketchup, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships and multitask effectively.
