Multistudio is seeking a full-time Interior Designer / Interior Architect for our Kansas City and Lawrence office locations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and execute design solutions for various projects under the guidance of leadership. The position requires a thorough understanding of our Studio's design philosophy, and you will be responsible for rendering design ideas through models, drawings, videos, and illustrations to present to clients for approval. You will engage in all phases of a project, which includes programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, construction drawings, and construction administration. As an Interior Designer / Interior Architect, you will collaborate with consultants, furniture dealers, product representatives, and building and permitting officials to ensure that your team meets overall project objectives and that all projects conform to contract and design specifications. You will work closely with Project Architects and project teams to manage client expectations and ensure that the design intent is accurately interpreted in all documents. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of design thinking and explore innovative ways to enhance the built environment. We are looking for candidates who possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in interior design or interior architecture. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential, as well as a solid understanding of the construction process, materials, lighting, systems integration, and production timelines. Familiarity with tools such as Google Sketchup, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite (including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat), and Microsoft Office is also required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to multitask and solve problems, are crucial for success in this role.
