About the position

LEO A DALY is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join their collaborative design culture. The role focuses on transforming the human experience through innovative design solutions, with responsibilities spanning site investigations, design presentations, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design or architecture, with a commitment to quality and sustainability in their work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site investigations and observations
  • Prepare narratives, design presentations, boards, drawing and specification documents
  • Balance project schedule and budget constraints
  • Perform programming, space planning, design of spaces and finishes, FF&E selection, documentation and bid evaluation
  • Edit specifications and produce deliverable drawing sets for finish plans, interior elevations, room finish schedules, furniture plans, and interior details
  • Perform and review Revit modeling and detailing or documentation in AutoCad
  • Facilitate cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates
  • Perform construction administration
  • Support marketing/business development activities
  • Travel for project-related activities such as existing building assessments, client meetings, or construction jobsite observations
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Levels I & II Interiors Designers
  • Attend client and internal meetings
  • Conduct presentations
  • Participate in project team interviews for pursuits

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience and Licensed or 15+ years of experience
  • 4-year Accredited Program in Interior Design and/or Architecture
  • NCIDQ certified required
  • Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and commitment to contributing to a multidisciplinary team

Nice-to-haves

  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Knowledge of current industry trends on space, function, lighting, finishes, furniture and equipment
