About the position

The Interior Designer at Plan Architecture LLC is a senior-level role responsible for leading design projects and mentoring junior staff. This position requires a strong client-facing approach to ensure satisfaction while overseeing all phases of design from conceptualization to construction administration. The designer will create functional and aesthetic designs tailored to client needs, manage project proposals, and coordinate with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Client-facing role ensuring strong relationships and satisfaction with clients.
• Oversee and mentor junior staff to foster their development and align efforts with company goals.
• Craft proposals for new projects, partnerships, or business opportunities.
• Create functional and aesthetic designs that enhance living spaces based on client needs.
• Develop drawings, presentations, and cost estimates, coordinating the work of contractors.
• Research, design, select, specify, and document furniture, fixtures, lighting, finishes, and millwork.
• Oversee all phases of each project from conceptual design to construction administration and installations.
• Schedule, prepare, and lead design meetings with clients and contractors.
• Assume a team lead role for the work group as needed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of related experience in interior design.
• Bachelor's degree in interior design.
• Project management experience in new construction and renovation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
