As a mid-level Interior Designer at Mohagen Hansen Architecture | Interiors, you will take on a pivotal role within our expanding Interior Design Team. This position is designed for individuals who are ready to grow their careers in a dynamic, flexible, and creative work environment. You will be involved in all technical aspects of the interior design process, from project setup to construction administration, as part of a defined project team. Your responsibilities will include leading the development of design concepts, assisting in design efforts, and participating in client presentations. You will also engage in data gathering, space planning, and documentation, while expanding your design foundation in healthcare and other market sector projects. In this role, you will work closely with architectural and interior design teams to develop the interior design direction, translating complex programming requirements into schematic design concepts. Your focus will be on improving and enhancing the patient experience through detailed documentation. You will provide thought leadership on assigned projects, which includes conducting research, strategic planning, and participating in interviews while partnering with the architecture team. Effective collaboration and communication with multidisciplinary teams will be essential to your success. Additionally, you will research materials and concepts to advise the design team on technical issues that influence interior design concept development and documentation. Utilizing your past knowledge and experience, you will enhance the quality of design and improve the built environment. You will also help coordinate the design work of others to ensure an integrated and cohesive design solution, all while adhering to determined project schedules to prioritize tasks and coordinate the completion of documentation from the initial design phase through to final project completion. Your role will also involve reviewing material submittals and conducting on-site observations, as well as coordinating interior design data gathering and implementing document preparation.
