About the position

As an Interior Designer, you will play a crucial role in this mission by designing and creating comfortable and functional environments that reflect the client's lifestyle, artistic taste, and budget. Our diverse range of furniture styles allows you to cater to any aesthetic preference, ensuring that each design is unique and personalized. Your responsibilities will include scheduling professional home consultations to present customized room designs, which will involve showcasing sample fabrics, furniture, tables, and accessory recommendations. You will also explain the benefits of our professional installation service. It is essential to accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, maintain orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries. Additionally, you will support design-related functions in the store and maintain an up-to-date customized portfolio that includes before and after pictures of previous in-home design projects. In this role, you will be expected to drive sales to consistently achieve established sales goals. Collaborating with the selling team to promote the In-Home Design program and drive overall store sales is vital. You will need to maintain a strong knowledge of the features and benefits of both existing and new product lines to provide excellent customer service. Furthermore, you will be responsible for training, coaching, and developing Design Associates on product knowledge and selling skills to help achieve store sales goals. You will also assist with training and coaching the selling team, leading with the highest ethical standards and expecting the same from your team members. Operationally, you will adhere to general store procedures and guidelines, which may include responsibilities for opening and closing the store. Being proactive and willing to jump into every sale to close it is essential. Other duties may be assigned as needed, ensuring that you are adaptable and ready to support the team in various capacities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Interior Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in interior design.
  • At least 1 year of sales experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Professional dress and appearance are required.
  • Reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license.
