About the position

The Interior Designer position at Unscripted Interior Design is an intermediate-level role focused on supporting the design team within the Model Merchandising Studio. The designer will work collaboratively on multiple projects nationwide, contributing to concept development, space planning, and sourcing furnishings. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage various tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Design Director and team on multiple concurrent projects nationwide.
• Develop concepts, space plans, and select colors and materials.
• Coordinate with fabricators, vendors, various trades, and subcontractors.
• Consult directly with clients and maintain great communication.
• Source all interior furnishings and accessories, utilizing trade sources.
• Travel to out-of-state job sites for presentations, installations, and client meetings.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Build relationships with sales representatives and research new vendor sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field, preferably from a FIDER/CIDA Accredited Program.
• 2+ years in an Interior Design related position is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and intermediate abilities in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with procurement software platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous or current residential and/or multi-family experience is a plus.
• Outstanding skills in custom fabrication, millwork detailing, and specifications.
