About the position

BDG Architects is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to join their Program Studio in Tampa, FL. The role involves collaborating with clients to create functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing designs while managing various interior design project assignments under the supervision of a senior project manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design, project management, and a passion for innovative design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional, sustainable, and aesthetic designs in collaboration with client representatives.
• Perform program development and space planning for various projects.
• Create construction documents and manage FF&E selection/specification.
• Develop sketches and renderings to visualize design concepts.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants.
• Conduct site surveys and documentation for project accuracy.
• Lead and mentor junior interior designers and collaborate with senior designers and architects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in interior design from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of project experience in architecture and interior design, preferably in hospitality, program, or commercial design.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Advanced knowledge of design trends, construction methods, and material applications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and building construction.
• Must have passed the NCIDQ exam and hold a current license.
