About the position

Coordinated Interior Woods is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Designer or Design Assistant to enhance client relationships and contribute to the design of custom cabinetry and millwork. The role involves collaborating with clients to understand their project needs, preparing design drawings, and managing multiple projects while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to timelines.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand project requirements
• Develop design suggestions within budget
• Prepare design drawings for client review and approval
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure project accuracy and timelines
• Notify engineering and customer support of any change orders
• Assist accounting with invoicing
• Provide compelling designs to win business and meet sales goals
• Manage project budgeting and scheduling
• Conduct site visits and measurements for project accuracy

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Kitchen and Bath design and space planning preferred
• 2- or 4-year degree in Interior Design preferred
• Experience with 20/20 and Cabinet Vision software
• Proficiency in design, space planning, and relevant software skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with varying sizes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Professional appearance and detail-oriented mindset
