About the position

Clodagh Design is seeking a talented Interior Designer to join their innovative design team in New York City. The ideal candidate will be a creative and meticulous individual with a strong background in hospitality and high-end residential design. This role involves working on eco-conscious projects and contributing to the firm's award-winning portfolio across various countries.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing finishes, furnishings, and fabrics for hospitality and residential projects
• Designing and overseeing production of custom furnishings
• Exhibiting understanding of the firm's design philosophy and brand standards
• Responsible for correspondence and coordination with consultants and vendors
• Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and bring new ideas and products to the table
• Coordinating with outside consultants and vendors
• Proficiency in writing specifications and reviewing shop drawings and submittals
• Strong communication and organization skills, working in an upbeat team environment

Requirements

• 3-4 years of professional working experience, preferably in NYC
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Strong rendering skills
• Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in hospitality and high-end residential design
• Experience with creating all project documentation, including Design Development and Construction sets
• Strong knowledge of environmental and sustainability-friendly products
• Basic knowledge of current building codes including ADA requirements
• Must be a US green card holder or US citizen currently living in NY
