About the position

KSS Architects is seeking a creative and team-oriented Interior Designer/Project Manager with 5-7 years of experience. The role involves managing multiple projects, ensuring design excellence, and effectively communicating ideas. The position is based in Philadelphia, NYC, or Princeton, and requires a strong background in project management and interior design.

Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for managing all aspects across multiple projects
  • Prepares project workplans and manages workflow and administrative efforts throughout design and documentation phases, including programming, design, construction documents and construction administration
  • Actively oversees and is responsible for project schedule, budget, fee and scope of work to project completion
  • Prepares proposals
  • Interface with clients at every level of a project
  • Support project teams - align in house staffing resources with project needs, budget and deadlines

Requirements

  • Passion for design excellence
  • Strong experience in project and workflow management of aspects of interior design practice, including programming, design, detailing, furniture planning and selection, and/or finishes preferred
  • Experience with client interface, networking + relationship building
  • Strong and respectful writing and verbal communications skills; within the office, to clients, consultants and contractors
  • Corporate, workplace and institutional project experience
  • Ability to be collaborative and pro-active
  • Fluency with REVIT, AutoCAD, and Adobe suite is strongly preferred
  • Highly organized with an eye for detail and creative problem solving
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Legal working status in the United States
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
