About the position

The Interior Designer/Sales Associate position at Mielke Brothers Interior Concepts involves providing exceptional customer service and interior design consultation to homeowners, builders, and contractors. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can assist clients in selecting products, measuring spaces, and producing estimates while also contributing to the company's marketing efforts and maintaining the showroom.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the phone and in person and assist/direct them through their project's needs.
• Measure and record information and work with estimator(s) to produce and communicate estimates.
• Monitor showroom and catalog for new and dropped items; update product costs in software system.
• Meet with product representatives to stay current on offerings, trends, etc.
• Assist in maintaining and expanding the company's marketing efforts including social media pages.
• Assist owner and managers in other office/showroom projects as needed.

Requirements

• 2 years minimum education and/or experience in interior design (furniture, lighting/plumbing, cabinet design, countertops, etc.).
• Comfortable with software programs such as Quickbooks, Microsoft Suite, 2020 Design, etc.
• Experience in cost-based estimating preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Sales experience (2 years preferred).
• Customer service experience (2 years preferred).
