About the position

Neil Kelly Company is seeking a creative and client-focused Design Consultant to join their team. This role combines sales, interpersonal, and interior design skills to assist clients throughout the remodeling process, ensuring satisfaction and beautiful results. The Design Consultant will work closely with a team, including Project Managers and Design Associates, to manage projects from initial client meetings to project completion.

Responsibilities

• Meet with prospects, generate leads, and establish client relationships.
• Apply design skills to sell projects and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project.
• Assist clients with acquiring financing if needed.
• Lead the design and sales process with clients and project team.
• Coordinate the billing process with office staff and review for accuracy.
• Participate in company special events and showroom floor hours.

Requirements

• Degree in architecture, interior design, interior architecture, or housing design.
• Five+ years' experience in residential home, kitchen, and bath design, including cabinetry.
• Two or more years of sales experience with a proven sales track record and seasoned closing skills.
• Understanding of the construction process, with a background in residential construction preferred.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and adhere to timelines.
• Well-developed customer service and client interaction skills.
• A strong portfolio of built design work.

• Experience designing and/or selling ADUs and new construction.
