About the position

Closets by Design - Milwaukee is seeking motivated and sales-focused professionals for the role of Interior Designer/Salesperson. This position combines interior design with traveling sales, allowing designers to meet customers in their homes to create and sell custom organizational systems. The role requires creativity, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for home design and organization. Designers will work remotely but must reside in Wisconsin, with travel required for customer appointments and training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Travel across the state to meet with customers for pre-booked appointments.
• Design custom organizational systems based on customer needs and preferences.
• Measure customer spaces and create design proposals.
• Present designs and pricing to homeowners and close sales.
• Attend monthly sales meetings and training sessions at the office in Mequon, WI.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience in a professional setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a full commission/bonus sales environment.
• Reliable personal transportation and valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Interior Design experience and/or education preferred but not required.
• Experience with design/drafting software (e.g., SketchUp, AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, 20/20) ideal but not required.
• Tech savvy with the ability to conduct business virtually/digitally.
