About the position

The Interior Designer, Selections Coordinator & Client Experience Specialist at Winsome Construction is responsible for managing project selections and collaborating with clients, architects, and subcontractors to create innovative and functional interior designs. This role involves overseeing all stages of the design process, ensuring adherence to building codes, and enhancing client experiences throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead Interior Designer in creating interior design concepts based on client goals and budgets.
• Analyze blueprints to understand space usage and movement patterns.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends and materials in interior design.
• Audit selections from architects for accuracy and completeness.
• Support the lead Interior Designer in creating budgets and specifying materials.
• Research and source products and materials that meet design requirements and budgets.
• Verify selection specifications in Buildertrend and track client approvals.
• Oversee the installation of design elements onsite.
• Assist in placing orders for materials and tracking shipments.
• Attend project review meetings and site visits to monitor selection status.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders including architects and subcontractors.
• Plan and implement personalized client experiences.
• Update operating processes and assist in maintaining the design library.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in interior design.
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
• Familiarity with building codes and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in custom residential design work.
