About the position

DLR Group is seeking an Interior Designer to join their Workplace sector, where the individual will collaborate with an integrated design team on various projects from pre-design to construction administration. The role involves developing project palettes, preparing 3D renderings, and generating interior finish drawings while adhering to project scope, schedule, and budget. The position emphasizes collaboration with clients, contractors, and team members, and offers opportunities for personal accountability and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team on projects from pre-design through construction administration.
• Develop comprehensive project palettes of materials and finishes.
• Prepare 3D renderings and presentation drawings.
• Generate interior finish drawings and details while maintaining project scope, schedule, fee, and budget parameters.
• Take responsibility for the development of the design with input from the Principal in Charge and/or Design Leader.
• Prepare drawings, models, images, material & mood boards, and other design-related documents.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and vendors to deliver projects effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or equivalent.
• 5-8 years of design experience in commercial interior projects.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong creative design and drawing skills, along with graphic and oral design presentation skills.
• Capacity for conceptual design thinking and 3D design/modeling ability.
• Strong client and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• NCARB or NCIDQ certification.
