About the position

Erickson Sullivan Architects is a small architectural practice located in Lincoln, Nebraska, dedicated to delivering high-quality design across a variety of project types and scales. The firm specializes in public, commercial, healthcare, educational, and residential work, ensuring a comprehensive approach to architecture. Additionally, through its subsidiary, Foodlines, the firm focuses on food service design projects, which include large institutional and corporate dining facilities as well as a diverse range of restaurant types. We are currently seeking an Interior Designer for immediate full-time employment. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, although some experience is preferred. The role requires a solid understanding of interior design concepts, spatial design, product selection, color theory, and graphic design skills. The successful candidate will be expected to take the lead on interior design projects, collaborating closely with architects, clients, and co-workers. Candidates should be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong graphic and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with various design tools and mediums is essential, including hand sketching, 2D and 3D drawing and modeling software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketch-up, as well as generating renderings and presentations using Photoshop and the Adobe Creative Suite. Responsibilities

  • Lead interior design projects, collaborating with architects, clients, and co-workers.
  • Develop and present design concepts and solutions.
  • Utilize design software to create 2D and 3D models and renderings.
  • Conduct product selection and material sourcing for projects.
  • Ensure designs meet client needs and project specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design (preferred).
  • Understanding of interior design concepts and spatial design.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketch-up.
  • Strong graphic and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoughtful work.

Nice-to-haves
