We are excited to announce the opening of a new location in Appleton, Wisconsin, and we are looking for talented individuals to join our team at Carpet City, the most successful flooring store in the state. As part of Wisconsin's largest family-owned flooring store, you will have the opportunity to leverage our tremendous buying power and established clientele to pursue sales and build lasting customer relationships both inside and outside the store. In this role, you will be responsible for directing and assisting customers in selecting desirable floor covering options, including custom tile showers and backsplash tiles. Your goal will be to achieve maximum sales, profitability, and account penetration within the assigned store by effectively helping customers find their desired products and selling the company's offerings using your interior design skills through a software-based program. You will promote, sell, and secure orders from both existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach, ensuring that you maintain a large repeat and referral customer base by providing superior customer service. Your duties will include demonstrating products and services to customers, determining their wants and needs using your interior design expertise, and consistently growing your clientele base through daily contacts and follow-ups. You will also be expected to effectively navigate and utilize our sales database software, communicate with customers through various channels, and maintain a neat and orderly desk and showroom. Additionally, you will perform in-home and on-site measurements and estimates, follow up with customers before and after sales and installations, and contact potential accounts to create more sales opportunities. Training for this position will take place at our Green Bay location, and you will be expected to comply with tasks assigned by management.
