About the position

As an Interior Designer at Hernz Home Improvements, you will provide full-service design solutions for homeowners focusing on kitchens, baths, basements, and other interior remodeling projects. This role requires collaboration with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored design solutions while ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to determine initial goals, needs, and requirements for their spaces.
• Prepare sketches or visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs to clients.
• Consult with clients to select finishes, which may include visiting partnered showrooms.
• Use design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans.
• Order necessary materials, track orders, coordinate deliveries, and inspect products.
• Prepare construction documents such as elevations, selection sheets, tile layouts, etc.
• Support project manager to ensure coordination of all design aspects, including materials, installation details, and finishing details.
• Check in with clients periodically to ensure and maintain client satisfaction.
• Develop sales via referrals, upsells, and other methods.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in residential interior design.
• Basic understanding of residential construction.
• Proficiency with Autocad is a must.
• Proficiency with Revit or Sketchup is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
