About the position

As an Interior Designer at Cushing Terrell, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to creating innovative built environments that enhance communities. This role involves leading design projects from inception to completion, mentoring junior designers, and collaborating with engineers and clients to deliver exceptional design solutions. You will have the opportunity to develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with clients and contractors, all while contributing to a culture of creativity and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead project design from inception to completion.
• Mentor and guide entry-level designers through all phases of projects.
• Collaboratively work with integrated engineering teams on various project types.
• Initiate, maintain, and develop relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Constructively question and develop concepts, analyzing options and priorities.
• Work collaboratively with the project team to maintain design integrity.
• Communicate complex ideas simply and passionately.
• Create plausible conceptual or detailed solutions that meet client priorities.
• Anticipate and deal appropriately with changing circumstances.
• Organize and lead meetings involving internal and external clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from a CIDA accredited university.
• 5-10 years of design experience in the Interior Design profession.
• Interior Design Licensure (NCIDQ or State) or working towards licensure.
• LEED accreditation is a plus.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
