About the position

The Interior Designer position at D L English Design involves leading and executing design projects for retail and hospitality interiors. The role requires a blend of creative thinking, project management, and collaboration with clients and internal teams to deliver comprehensive design solutions. The designer will work on various aspects of interior design, from conceptualization to final delivery, ensuring alignment with client branding and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from initial client discovery through final design concept.
• Develop creative direction in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
• Translate established creative direction into conceptual ideas and execute creative concepts.
• Present and advocate for creative design with clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate across departments on all assigned projects.
• Conduct visual research and develop design direction based on various factors.
• Lead the development of décor visual positioning and concept designs.
• Provide informed design input, including sketches and 3D modeling.
• Select materials and finishes for projects and ensure alignment with budget parameters.
• Consult with design development teams to incorporate design intent into deliverables.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in interior design.
• Proven conceptual and design skills with a strong portfolio.
• High level expertise in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Working knowledge of Revit and alternative 3D software programs is beneficial.
• Strong project coordination skills and ability to manage budgets and schedules.
