About the position

Frances Mildred LLC is seeking an ambitious and intelligent Interior Designer to lead highly-customized residential projects. The role involves collaborating with a team of designers and trusted fabricators to develop design ideas, produce drawings and renderings, specify materials, and guide clients through the custom design process.

Responsibilities

• Develop schematic design ideas for residential projects.
• Produce drawings and renderings for client presentations.
• Specify materials and products for projects.
• Collaborate with team members and outside vendors.
• Guide clients through the custom design process.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of professional experience in high-end residential design in New York City.
• Specific experience with high-end residential apartments and townhouses in NYC.
• Proficiency in AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup (with rendering plug-ins), Microsoft Office, and Rhino.
• Strong hand sketching skills.
• Experience in making, assembling, crafting, or creating on a personal level is highly desired.
• Experience with specification software is preferred.
• A detailed and organized thought process is critical.
