We believe in the transformational power of comfort. As an Interior Designer, you will be an innovative leader responsible for the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program and personalized client solutions. This role requires translating client needs into actionable design concepts, conducting insightful in-home consultations, and fortifying sales teams with design expertise. You will play a crucial role in elevating the design culture and will be held to the utmost standards of professionalism and integrity. The position offers a pay plan of $20 an hour during training (first 3-4 weeks), transitioning to an annual salary of $26,000 plus commission based on sales performance. Your responsibilities will include achieving or surpassing store and individual sales goals, promoting the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program, and creating customized design solutions tailored to clients' requirements. You will also be responsible for scheduling and conducting in-home consultations, creating design concepts, and providing coaching and support to sales teams to improve overall performance. This position holds significant influence over the store's financial health, team morale, operational efficiency, and the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or surpass store and individual sales goals, annual operating benchmarks, and personal objectives.
• Promote the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program to draft potential design solutions and present customized portfolio presentations.
• Translate the client's lifestyle, taste, and budget into actionable design recommendations.
• Schedule and conduct in-home consultations to understand client's unique needs, preferences, and vision for their space.
• Create design concepts and digital presentations with finish selections, furnishings, and fixtures.
• Provide coaching, training, and support to sales teams to improve design culture, product knowledge, sales techniques, strategies, and overall in-home design performance.
• Collaborate with support teams to ensure flawless execution of operational excellence.
• Ensure proper execution of all existing and new systems and administrative procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years in interior design, with a residential emphasis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and computer-aided design programs.
• Strong financial understanding and analytical abilities.
• Adept interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Goal-oriented with team management experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
