About the position

As an Interior Designer at Cline Design Associates, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of interior design projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing detailed construction drawings, renderings, and development plans that align with the project requirements. You will be involved in programming, concept design, space planning, technical detailing, furnishing layouts, and finish specifications. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the design process, allowing you to execute all phases from concept design to construction administration effectively. In addition to technical skills, you will assist with client and consultant communication, ensuring that all parties are aligned throughout the project lifecycle. Your role will also involve the selection and specification of materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting, which requires you to consult with vendors and research various FF&E materials and products. You will coordinate materials and drawings for presentations, ensuring that all documentation is organized and accessible. Furthermore, you will be responsible for researching code requirements to ensure compliance with local regulations. To succeed in this position, you must possess strong graphic and visualization skills, as well as excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities. You will work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to the overall success of the projects. A Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture from an accredited institution is mandatory, and a portfolio submission is required to demonstrate your design capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare interior design construction drawings, renderings, and development of plans.
  • Engage in programming, concept design, space planning, technical detailing, furnishing layouts, and finish specifications.
  • Execute all phases from concept design to construction administration.
  • Assist with client and consultant communication.
  • Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting.
  • Consult with vendors, research, and propose FF&E materials and products.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Revit is required.
  • Two to four years of applicable experience in interior design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite.
  • Knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color, and materials.
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture from an accredited college or university is mandatory.
  • Portfolio submission required.
