As an Interior Designer at Actalent, you will lead the production of deliverable documents through various phases of design, including Schematic Design, Development Design, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration. Your role will involve engaging in Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) selection, providing client management, and overseeing project management on a daily basis. You will be responsible for reviewing documents to ensure quality control evaluations and ongoing compliance with project standards. This position requires expertise in multi-family/mixed-use and large-scale commercial design, as well as proficiency in construction documentation. You will take on project leadership responsibilities, coordinating documentation and producing design drawings and technical documentation. Additionally, you will be involved in the construction administration phase, ensuring that all documentation aligns with project requirements and client expectations. The work environment is hybrid, requiring some days on-site in Baltimore, Maryland, and some days remote. You will be part of a Class A office space located on the 18th floor of a tower, providing a panoramic view of the city. The office consists of five studios with a total of 75 employees, including a dedicated interiors team of seven led by Lauren Reiser. The scope of work spans from Chicago to Connecticut, covering various project types such as corporate headquarters, restaurant chains, hospitality, and multi-family developments. The role emphasizes project management, with a split of 25-50% production and 50-75% project management responsibilities.
