About the position

The Interior Designer at Turnkey Project Services is responsible for providing design support and consulting on various projects, translating manufacturer insights into tailored product solutions that meet client needs. This role involves creating engaging and inspiring spaces across multiple market segments, including corporate, education, government, and healthcare. The designer will work on projects ranging from small office layouts to large reconfigurations, collaborating with sales teams and clients to develop functional design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist or act as lead Designer on assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and clients to gather project information and develop creative and functional design solutions that meet the client's requirements, aesthetic and budget.
  • Design/space plan and specify creative solutions to proactively impact the sales process.
  • Translate abstract information and apply manufacturer insights into creative applications.
  • Act as a trusted design advisor to sales consultants and clients using knowledge of design trends and code requirements.
  • Foster client relationships through design knowledge and support.
  • Participate in team selling approach.
  • Provide continual support to clients for moves, additions, and changes to their existing workplace.
  • Create computer-generated design documents including design intent drawings, space plans, furniture typicals, furniture plans, installation documents, and rendered images.
  • Perform field measures, product inventory, and product research.
  • Produce furniture block plans, space plans, finish palettes, furniture specifications, and installation drawings.
  • Meet project deadlines and keep accurate records of working time for internal job costing.

Requirements

  • 4-year Interior Design or Interior Architecture degree or a balance of Associate Degree and applicable experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of design trends and code requirements.
  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Proficient at using current design software including AutoCAD, Configura, and CET.
