About the position

The In-Home Interior Designer position at HD Buttercup/Coco Republic involves working closely with clients to create customized interior designs that reflect their personal style. The role requires a blend of creativity, client interaction, and technical design skills to deliver exceptional service and design solutions in residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Guide clients through the furniture and décor selection process, helping them choose pieces that meet both aesthetic and functional goals.
• Develop design plans, including layout, color schemes, fabric options, and lighting, aligned with client preferences.
• Collaborate with the store's sales and merchandising teams to ensure clients receive a cohesive experience and appropriate recommendations.
• Conduct in-home design consultations with clients, evaluating space and needs to provide tailored design solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and furniture collections in the industry.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and presentations to support the design plan and maintain regular communication with clients throughout the project.
• Foster strong relationships with clients to build trust, maintain customer satisfaction, and drive repeat business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience in interior design, preferably with a focus on residential and in-home projects.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, color theory, and furniture trends, along with being comfortable and knowledgeable with custom furniture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and understand client needs.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for in-home consultations.
