We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Interior Designer to join our team at Metropolitan Antiques & Interiors. In this part-time role, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Your ability to assist customers with interior design projects, understand their needs, and promote our products will be crucial to driving sales and fostering customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately while maintaining cash register integrity.
• Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring merchandise is well-displayed.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Interior Design, Furniture Sales or a similar customer-facing role is required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with customers over the phone.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining store presentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
