Responsibilities

  • Takes accurate as-built measurements for developing floor plans and elevations.
  • Create design concepts and digital presentations with finish selections, furnishings, and fixtures.
  • 2D & 3D Rendering using CAD and Sketchup.
  • Presents design concepts and takes detailed notes to address customer requests.
  • Creates project budgets and maintains up-to-date documentation of all activities.
  • Manages the coordination and logistics of product deliveries and installation.
  • Provides follow-up support with customers.
  • Develops and maintains productive and effective relationships with customers.
  • Search for and bid on new projects.
  • Determine the client's goals and requirements for the project.
  • Sketch preliminary design plans and construction documents.
  • Create a timeline for the interior design project and estimate project costs.
  • Place orders for materials and oversee the installation of the design elements.
  • Oversee construction and coordinate with general building contractors to implement the plans and specifications for the project.
  • Visit the site after the project is complete, to ensure that the client is satisfied.
  • Conduct design consultations and project management.

Requirements

  • Formal interior design education (Associate's degree required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in interior design, including design consultations and customer service.
  • Ability to pass background and drug testing.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and Sketchup.
  • Understanding of room layouts, furniture placement, Feng Shui, space optimization, and function.
  • Knowledge of color theory and various architectural design styles.
  • Good customer service skills for in-person and video consultations.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple clients.
