About the position

Koniag Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Interior Designer with a Top Secret Clearance to support government projects in Huntsville, AL. This role involves acting as the primary contact between the company and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), managing design projects through all phases, and ensuring compliance with established standards and guidelines. The position is focused on delivering high-quality design solutions while fostering client relationships and advocating for an integrated design approach across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the implementation of projects through all phases of design including programming, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development.
  • Manage and coordinate schedule, hours, and work output with multiple in-house disciplines and/or consultants.
  • Monitor established standards and guidelines to ensure project compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Shape, develop, and champion client relationships, both existing and new.
  • Work closely with Design Principals and SMEs to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach.
  • Lead programming efforts and develop associated deliverables.
  • Oversee multiple significant or large-scale projects.
  • Conduct periodic on-site observations during construction to ensure compliance with design documents.
  • Prepare client project presentations, studies, and reports.
  • Engage with current clients to identify opportunities for additional services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design from a CIDA accredited school.
  • NCIDQ certification.
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in a commercial environment.
  • Experience with government design is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in construction documents, CSI, and FF&E specifications.
  • Understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and LEED sustainability.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance.
