About the position

The Interior Designer role at TSRC, Inc. involves providing design services to salespeople and collaborating with various teams to ensure high-quality project implementation. The designer will be responsible for creating accurate plans and specifications, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a cohesive aesthetic vision throughout the design process.

Responsibilities

  • Provides design services for multiple salespeople, including space planning and fabric selections.
  • Utilizes AutoCAD and CET to prepare 2D and 3D renderings for design and planning.
  • Obtains dimensions and necessary parameters in the field.
  • Selects fabrics, finishes, and other design details with a cohesive aesthetic vision.
  • Utilizes Spec to create and verify product specifications of multiple furniture lines.
  • Develops finished working drawings for specification and installation; validates plans against construction and engineering drawings.
  • Develops and presents block and space plans.
  • Handles plotting, printing, and color boards for client and dealership transmittals.
  • Attends client planning and project kick-off meetings.
  • Presents plans and information to customers for review and approvals.
  • Estimates design project time and communicates regularly with salespeople and management regarding project status.
  • Collaborates with other designers to ensure high-quality project implementation and provides second checks of other designers' projects.
  • Trains and mentors new designers as needed.
  • Coordinates regularly with Project Management and Client Services departments.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a design position.
  • Proficient in PC and Mac skills using MS Office Suite and other computer programs.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, CET, and Spec.
  • Excellent presentation, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to manage and organize time to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Highly motivated to learn and grow, self-directed and proactive.
  • Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and conscientiousness.
