About the position

DNA Workshop is seeking an experienced project interior designer to join our dynamic team at our Richmond, Virginia office. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player with exceptional design and presentation skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong foundation in interior design principles, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and creativity. Candidates should possess an Interior Design degree from an accredited college or university and have 3-7 years of professional interior design experience. Experience in multi-family and/or historic renovation projects is a plus. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team is essential. Excellent verbal and graphic communication skills are necessary to effectively convey design concepts to clients and stakeholders. Professional licensure and LEED® certification or a demonstrated path towards completion are highly desirable. Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp/Rhino (or similar), Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is required. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interior spaces that meet client needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Prepare and present design concepts and proposals to clients.
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design solutions.

Requirements

  • Interior Design degree from an accredited college/university.
  • 3-7 years of professional interior design experience.
  • Experience in multi-family and/or historic renovation projects is a plus.
