About the position

The Interior Designer at Acomb Ostendorf and Associates LLC (AOA) is responsible for generating architectural concepts for various interior projects, including furniture and equipment planning, special design concepts, and floor plan analysis. This role involves collaboration with project managers, architects, and consultants to develop and implement design solutions while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes. The designer will also be involved in full project delivery, from schematic design to construction administration, fostering relationships for potential work, and promoting the AOA culture.

Responsibilities

• Generate architectural concepts for interior projects.
• Conduct material and equipment planning.
• Develop special design concepts and requirements.
• Perform floor plan analysis.
• Collaborate and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Responsible for schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
• Deliver full project interiors.
• Liaise with project managers, architects, and consultants.
• Represent lead technical viewpoint on projects.
• Coordinate with the director and department head on technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of accessibility standards.
• Knowledge of Florida Building Code sections related to interiors.
• Professional Certification or Registration preferred.
