About the position

The Interior Designer at Actalent will provide a comprehensive range of interior design services, focusing on planning, design concept generation, and the preparation of construction documents and specifications. The role involves collaboration with manufacturers and product vendors for furniture, fixtures, and equipment selections, as well as materials and finishes. The designer will also assist in bidding and construction observation, ensuring designs comply with relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of interior design services, including planning and generating design concepts.
• Prepare design presentations and complete construction documents and specifications.
• Work with manufacturers and product vendors on selections of furniture, fixtures, and equipment, as well as materials and finishes.
• Assist in bidding and construction observation by responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing punch lists.
• Perform some design work independently if capable.
• Assist with technical architecture drawings if needed.
• Review designs for code compliance.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in interior design.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience working on educational, corporate/commercial interiors, government, or public projects required.
• Licensure is a plus.
